You know that I love a good lipstick, so I just had to try out the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipsticks after seeing so may reviews about them. With 44 shades to choose from, including turquoise (if you’re brave enough), it was a tough decision to pick one but I finally settled on Outlaw.
The lipstick comes in a black box with a silver floral design and has the shade name and colour at the end of the box. The lipstick itself comes in a clear plastic tube with a pretty black and silver floral design printed at the top. It has a long doe-foot applicator which allows for precise application.
Outlaw is a gorgeous bright red shade which instantly brightens up your make-up look. This shade is highly pigmented and one swipe of colour over lips creates a completely opaque coverage.
The formula of the lipstick is wonderfully creamy so it just glides over lips. I find that it takes a minute or two to completely dry but when it’s dry it stays put. The Everlasting Lipsticks contain vitamin E and sunflower seed wax which are natural moisturisers, making it comfortable to wear all day. Like all matte lipsticks I do find that it can highlight dry patches so I would definitely recommend using a lip scrub before applying.
I find that this really does last all day with minimal fading. It lasts through eating, drinking and its transfer proof too. I would say it’s slightly kiss proof but not completely, if you know what I mean? Below is the lipstick after around five hours of wear and as you can see there is no fading or bleeding of the colour.
The Kat Von D Everlasting Lipsticks retail at £17 and I would say that it is worth every penny.
