I’ve gone from avoiding nude coloured lipsticks to owning quite a few. I’ve finally found some that suit me really well and thought I’d share my favourites with you.
Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit
This was part of a set that I picked up in the Boots sale this year and I can’t believe that it has taken me so long to try this shade. I always loved how it looked on other people but was convinced that it wouldn’t suit me. Birthday Suit is a gorgeous dark nude shade which has a slight brown tone to it. It is definitely one of those shades that just works for everyone. The lipstick also has amazing staying power and only occasionally needs touched up after a meal.
Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in Flaming Rose
I got this lipstick in my Amazon Beauty Advent Calendar and instantly fell in love with it the first time I used it. Flaming Rose is a slightly pink medium nude shade and is a great “your lips but better” shade. I find that it lasts really well throughout the day and only really needs to be touched up after eating or drinking. Although it’s a matte shade I find that it isn’t overly drying on lips.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Shine Lipstick in Innocent
I originally won this shade in a blog competition a few years ago and fell in love with it so much that I decided to repurchase it. Although I find that it can fade quite quickly I don’t mind topping it up a little throughout the day. As you can see from the swatch Innocent is a slightly peachy toned nude which I think would probably suit light to medium skin tones.
Diego Dalla Palma Lipstick in Antique Pink
As the name suggests this is a pink based nude. The Diego Dalla Palma lipsticks also contains UVA filters making it the perfect lipstick for spring and summer. I find that this lipstick is really mositurising due to the added vitamin E. I find that it lasts a around five hours before needing to be touched up.
Barry M Matte Me Up in Pose
This has featured a few times on my blog and Instagram as I just love the Barry M Lip Kits. Pose featured in my January Favourites post and there is also a full review of Pose and Allure. I find that this highlights any dry patches on your lips so I’d recommend using a lip scrub before applying it. Pose is a lovely pink based nude that I think would work well on a range of skin tones.

I love a nude lip, and you’ve got some nice ones here. Have you tried the Renaissance Lipsticks from Makeup Revolution? They have some nice nudes in that line xx
Oh, I’ve not tried those yet! I’ll definitely need to give them a go xx
Ooh the Bourjois Flaming Rose shade looks so pretty, I definitely need to add that to my collection. I love a good nude lip xx
